    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That Green Z900 kawi is .. AWESOME looking ... but .. I still dont think it gives the service the old Japanese bikes did.

My wife is in her 60's and loves to ride with me. I look at how high those passenger pegs are and how thinly padded the passenger seat is and know .. she would be miserable. She has been on at least 3 other bikes with me and says our gs 750 is the most comfortable of all of them in engine behavior and seating. I would have thought it would have been our GIANT vtx 1800 but no .. our 35 yr old GS is by far her favorite and while I know she digs the aesthetic she claims it is the most accommodating. That Kawi is still a little more racer x than a true UJM. YMMV
 
Love the Kawi cafe?except that awful green. The white stripe is a nice looking accent but I?d find a rich red to put next to it. I guess that green is a symbol of Kawasaki pride but 🤢.

After watching the roadster shootout video that jedz shared I watched another linked video that included a Moto Guzzi in the comparison. They basically said it sucked but looked cool so it was cool. That?s proof positive of ?to each his own.? I know there are a lot of Guzzi lovers but I don?t get the attraction. They sound like a pre-tariff Harley.

Yes it does sound nice. I was referring to the review itself making it sound like a lesser machine rather than the exhaust note but it seems to lean through the corners just fine in the video you shared. And I?m glad they continue to succeed as a company but they?re still way down the list for my taste.

I would like like to see SUZUKI take their GSXS1000 (not the F) and move from the transformer style to the retro style like Kawasaki has done with the Z900RS. That would get some attention?and no lime green.

Get a rear lift for much less. Top of the line Pit Bulls go for about $160 and you can remove the rear tire also.

When on the road and I must oil the chain I just tilt the bike on the side stand so the rear wheel is off the ground and spray away. Not a big deal and certainly not a deal killer on the center stand issue.

I found no center stand definitely is a deal breaker for me if there isn't one or one is not available. The TU 250 I had for a while didn't have one and I found it particularly annoying.
 
Lol when i was in my teens i couldn't gain weight, when i turned 21ish that changed. I was 170 and lean at 6 foot 1 now im holding 220 haha
 
I've lost about 20 lbs in the last 5 months taking Belivag (Orlistat.) I get it in Mexico. No side effects. It's essentially a stronger version of over the counter Alli. Belivag is available here, but I only pay about 15 bucks for a 3 week supply. I eat like a pig at lunch, a little lighter at dinner, but I walk every day. Down to 195 from an uncomfortable 218 a few years ago.

I gained 40 pounds in a year while doing a contract job at Microsoft. Locked in a building 60 hours a week with a cafeteria on the first floor and free catered dinners if you stayed late..... That 40 pounds is gone but the 30 that followed remain. Hoping to lose a couple tenths before the season starts.
I went to cycle-ergo.com as suggested and the number of bikes with similar ergos to a GS is pretty small. I was really surprised to see the GS850 has a more aggressive riding position than a Bandit or a GS1100. Not sure I believe that. I love all my GS bikes, with the most comfortable being the 850. The Bandit 1200 was intolerable for me, and no amount of tinkering with the bars could fix it. According to the chart it is nearly identical to the GS1100e. They also list 80-83 1100e as the same, and that is definitely not true.

I've had two 1100 E, a 1150E and now a Bandit 12S. The big difference between the 1100E and the B12 is the leg length/foot peg reach. The reach on the 1100 is longer and if you're tall, you'll find the 1100 more comfortable. Consequently, you're likely to feel cramped up a bit on the B12. At my 5' 9 1/2" height and 170lbs, the Bandit is much more comfortable than the 1100E. The 1150EF is near identical to the Bandit in peg and Bar grip placement and distances.

Man that 6th gear is tall...
Not a slouch... Traction control definitely helps with launching.
