A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

5150, thanks for all the info. I will be calling you hopefully today after i get all my bs errands sorted out.

I have some KN filter oil that ill be using with the setup also.

I havent given up just yet, i just wanna ride it already! been two weeks since I've had it, the heatwaves and the insane gorgeous weather were having is killing me slowly. lol.

Today too, i should hopefully get to the frayed and cut wires. I just wish i knew what that one four prong connector does/goto. lol

Feel your pain, seems like everytime i fix one thing another needs attention.it has to end someday lol.Take a pic of the connector maybe someone can identify it for you.

Another issue im having is, when i turn the bike on. it idles, but as soon as you touch the throttle it chokes and stops.

Do you have an inline filter on the gas line by any chance. If you do, it could be starving the bike of fuel. I was just working on my buddies bike yesterday and we were having the same exact problem. It had an inline filter on it and we took it off and it literally cleared everything up.

It looks like some PO bypassed it,correct if i am wrong,my wiring is different on my 1150,hopefully someon with an 1100 of your year could chime in for you.Because of these bikes i am just learning electrical a little better now.

i removed the inline filter, and was providing fuel by using a gas can with a nipple, and connecting the line directly to it. holding it completely upright, making sure it was gravity fed gas

the adjusting screws on the carbs, is there a stock setting for them??

Yes there is,each bike was a lil different i hear, then they put the plug in to keep people out.Use the high rpm method to tune the fuel screws. Are those emgo pods on there?i was just reading the have a lip that may obstruct the Holes on the back side of the carb where the air jets are,if so you will have to clear them out,
People here and elsewhere are not a big fan of the lesser expensive filters for a reason, they do cause problems i have heard,no experience with them myself as i have k&n's

i dont think they blocked anything, ill have to double check them today. and i plan on backing the adjustment screw out alot more, seems like its not getting enough fuel.
