A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bike runs 8.30's in the 1/4, no you cant hear it as it's been sitting with a broken crank since 1991. A pic of the broken crank is a few posts down. Heres a pic from 1986 when I was #3 in IDBA S/C

Pretty sure I gated this guy....BadBillyB

Bike has never been dyno'ed....Bought it brand new in 1980....Put a 1085 Wiseco kit in it with 29 smoothbores and a Kerker pipe in 1981, Went to an 1175 MTC (11/1) and 33 smoothbores and some pretty big cams in 1982. This is when I got into bracket racing....I wanted to compare what I had to others......Soon bracket racing was not enough and I started running a 1238 Wiseco 13.5/1 kit and began hitting some of the Nationals.....Set national records in C/A and A/A for AMA DragBike...Then moved on to running S/C in IDBA and AMA Prostar. At the time the S/C index was 8.60 and has since been changed to 8.90....Well my bike runs 8.30's on a good day/track and I got sick of back peddling. So with a fresh clutch, valve springs, chain, and some minor changes to the intake ports, I decided when Prostar came to Gainesville Racewayin 1991, I was going to enter Top Gas and let it all hang out....Ran a 8.20 on the 2nd qualifying pass. Bear in mind this was with a slight tail wind and cool morning temps.....Well come elimination time (2pm or so) the wind was gone and the temp has risen quite a bit....Won the first round with a 8.32 on a holeshot....Lost the 2nd round with a 8.34 also on a holeshot. Just wasn't enough.......Crank broke the next weekend coming off the line on the first pass......It was the most expensive piece I had in the motor $800 and the rest is history..........BadBilly B

Do you plan on fixing that crank and getting her running again? :?:
