If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I put 5500miles on it from Feb-Dec of last year. It never missed a beat. Allways starts instantly.

Things i've done-

Removed/reinstalled/broke and removed again Vetter quicksilver fairing( it came with one)
Headlight from a broken Vetter quicksilver fairing( we have 2)
Removed Highway Bars
Handlebar from a Honda 90 3wheeler
headlight mount from a CB650+ turn signals.
Cleaned/fixed carbs
throttle cable
tach cable

Shinko Tour master tires/HD tubes, these seems to be working great, they are wearing really well.
New Carb boots/orings
Air filter
Fork Seals/dust boots. It has progressive springs.
Brake pads
Brake hose
Battery

Backup Petcock( red thing next to carbs, after rebuilding stocker, I found my crankcase full of gas one day, so 2 lines of defence here.)
Mirrors from god knows what kind of old dirt bikes.
I'm on my 2nd chain, sprockets were nearly new when I got it, The Counter Sproket is a 16t.\
Oil changes, etc.
I have a Nice Emgo tank bag I use as a tail bag hooked over the pilon seat.
I Also have a Huge green recycleing crate I put on the rack when i need to a haul alot.

Things I am going to do-
Replace R/r, the one I have it toast( stator is ok!)
Check valves, It's time again.
Make a better seat. The shape of this one isnt super bad, but it's thin, Butt hurts after an hour. Also the cover is starting to tear.
Rebuild the master cyl.

Nice one Rusty, looks like she's in pretty good shape!

Interesting GPS holder... made out of wood? How do you mount that on the 'bars?

I just ordered a supposedly weatherproof one off eBay from Hong Kong, should be here in a week or three. I just want something to look at Google Maps on while I ride in unfamiliar territory...

Look for a R/R for a GS500 - the wiring harness is different, but it should mount right up to the stock location. They are basically new, and dirt cheap on eBay.

Ya, the Gps Holder is made out of oak.
In Pic #6, you can see the mount on the left handlebar, it's a brake lever mount from a Honda 3wheeler, with the bracket for the lever ground off.

Yep, I see it, cool. Probably a lot sturdier than the cheapy I'm ordering but I haven't received it yet...

My New R/R showed up today, It's a Shindengen from a Honda CM400.

Spent a few hours this evening rewireing it. I took the Non-useable headlight switch out of the circut while i was at it.

I'm amazed how much more fin's the Shindengen's have compaired to the stock ones.

Here's the dead stock POS.

At 5k Rpm, I'm getting steady 14.7v, not 17V+ like before. :D :D
Not bad for a $9 part.

Tell me how it is when you get it.

And here's a Pic of my Bag, it's handy.

Good stuff on the R/R, and yeah they even look tougher than the stock items!

Do yourself a favour though and ditch that dodgy glass main fuse holder in favour of an inline blade type. Glass fuses and the old holder *will* let you down at the most inconvenient time.

I received the GPS/phone holder today:

Bit big for the iPhone 5 but I made a foam insert from some left over stuff from my seat and made it fit ok.

First trial run with it to work and back tomorrow.

I'm not sold on how secure the clip on mechanism is though.

Is the Handlebar clamp metal or plastic?

One of these days I'll get around to the fuse. All the holders I have currently are glass tube types.

All plastic I'm afraid, although I did know that going in... At less than $20 delivered I figured it's worth a try.

Seemed to be ok to work and back today and I even rode through a few showers and it definitely kept the water out.

The sooner the better with those dodgy glass fuses ;)

I live in a desert, so i'm not too worried about water proofness.

I only rode in the rain 5 times last year.:D:D:D

I'll get around to the fuse when I wire in my 12v outlet.

Oh, made some more progress yesterday. I was haveing an odd issue, lean surgeing at mid rpm's, but it was not consistent. I finaly found the issue, the Crank case breather hose had a crack, and it was sucking extra air.

Only 5 times? Cool! It would've been 5 times in the last couple of weeks at least for me...

I didn't realise the crank case breather hose impacted on performance, I always thought it was purely to direct the blow by.
