and another ... there must be an easier way to do this ... help please!

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
It does pretty well though never dynoed. The head is fairly fresh and has had some porting and all new valves. Right now just bolt ons other than that. A stainless Duplex that was built for somthing like a '91 GSXR. I've got Cosworth pistons that will go in sometime this year I hope. I have a 750 crank and rods that will get the 50cc back. I'll send the crank for lightening. The pistons were a problem getting rings for. They are a never used set of protoypes an aold friend of mine had. I had to have the top two grooves recut and Total Seal provided a set of their Gapless rings. I have a set of V&H cams for it as well. I've got '90 GSXR wheels and brakes with PFM iron rotors up front in an '88 fork. I'll be switching to a '95 front in CBR954 clamps. The top clamp is stepped so you pick up nearly an inch in length. I have a Works Performance shock for the rear to install when I do the front. Just waiting for the headlight brackets to arrive and still need to get a fender. Next week I may find the time to work on it. The motor work may have to wait until next winter.

Where did you get your seat done? It looks like a Corbin, but they didn't have the template to make them (without the bike in their shop - my '80 gs1100), when I called to have mine done.
The seat looks exactly like what I want on mine. I had a local upholstery shop do it earlier, but I'm not happy.

I called Corbin again today. They wanted the entire bike at first, but now the person I talked to is going to get in touch with the right people to see if maybe they can build a seat using my tail secton as a template (along with the entire seat, of course). The seat cover is "marked outback" when I first got the bike it had a corbin seat, which I think is very similar, just a different pattern,a company called Big4 in whaley bridge derbyshire replaced the cover. sadly I dont think there going any more,
