DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sorry I meant to specify the front brake set up. The rotors and calipers.

Yes a kit of sorts,
The Brembo calipers and the adapters were from Webike.
The floating discs are off the GSX1135 EF and using the GSXR shoulder bolts for the disc mounting.
Standard 1982 Kat 5/8''/16mm master cylinder.
Cheers Andrew.

Here are some more pictures of the brake setup.
The GSXR bolts because the holes in the discs are 10mm.

A spacer is needed to center the disc to the caliper.

I did open the up the bolt hole slightly just to give clearance for the shoulder bolt if needed.

Standard disc right and EF disc left, same dimensions 275mm dia. just that the offset occurs sooner due to the floating design.

All the parts ready for assembly

I am a center stand tragic, just love having one.
So one of the problems with some 4-1 exhausts is that you have to remove the center stand to fit them, I then noticed the 1250 Bandit one is offset which would help people like me have my cake and eat it too.

Soooo...
Bandit suspension from donor bike onto Kat conversion, so far so good.
Have been tossing up about the speedo drive.
Mechanical drive front axle as per Kat,
Front sprocket pickup electronic as per Bandit.
Decided to try the Bandit setup below.

Then a dummy run on the spare 750 motor,
bKDQxdP.jpg

BSAVG7a.jpg

And that was it,
Pulled my 1100 apart to drill and tap its front sprocket shaft and nope, nothing, using the same drill bits blunt straight up. New drill bit (cause I,m a crap drill sharpener) and blunt too. The 750 drilled and tapped like a hot knife in butter.
So I am wondering are the 1100 shafts hardened compared to the 750 ???
Cue scratching head and a glass of wine(s).
Cheers Andrew.

Made some progress with the speedo trigger. This setup allows me to run the Bandit style of dash.
Xw7v1ig.jpg

Used a ball bearing (seen below) to help center the trigger.

A good point from another forum member was with the SFV650 Gladius dash is that it comes from a 2cyl bike a conceivably the tacho output from my 4cyl ECU my not be compatable with the 2cyl dash tacho.
So playing it safe I am back to 3 choices for now. And I did a mock up of sorts.
