    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

70? at home, I'm in Anchorage with no bike watching it snow... Sucks.

The degree thing doesn't work on my laptop either.

I don't know what I just did, but I screwed up my keyboard messing with the FN key. I've got to figure out how to undo what I've done to it now.

OK, got the keyboard back to normal now, but I still can't get the deg. sign. Oh, well, another hour and I can go for a ride.

Nope...doesn't work on laptops...
 
Bought mine on Monday. Rode it home 45 miles in 50 degree rain. 1 more ride yesterday in 38 degree weather with LOTS more rain and I'm up to 100 miles so far. Now its time to disassemble, check out, tune up and start again. I think it will be much warmer and drier (never can tell in Oregon) the next time she gets out, but I was happy to break the century mark!

Yeah, you can get some really strange looks from people when you ride in something less than ideal conditons.:D My wife says I'm certifiably nuts anyway, and the way I start riding this early in the season she says that proves it among other things.....:-\\\:D
 
first nice day with no snow on roads here yesterday. here's a pic of my bike at a snowmobile crossing and trail that i was riding the sled on less than two weeks ago:

Another 100 miles today. Really pleased with the newly sealed air box. Tons of power.
Actually killed some bugs!
Now its back to the rain for at least another week:(
 
I managed to get about 70 miles put on the 1100E today. It got up to 88 degrees today with low humidity, so after a fine lunch of a carne guisada taco and a fajita gordita made from scratch at a local Shamrock station, I hit the Hill Country roads.
 
That cursed white stuff is one of the main reasons why I moved south after I retired.

We haven't seen a day above 60 this year.
 
Little late to the Dance but this past weekend I rode to the mountain (Okay they call it a Mountain Reno Bruce would call it a Bunny Slope :-) ) to ski 2 of my favorite things rolled into one!
 
Finally!!!! It got warm enough to ride again, and there is minimal ice at the bottom of my driveway.:D I had a bass gig practice last night that I could take my electric bass to (actual performance will be with the stand up string bass), so I put my bass guitar on the bike and rode to Brainerd (60 mile round trip) and back last night. When I left at 6pm, it was 37 deg. F, but when I returned at 9:30pm, it had dropped to 26 deg. by the time I got home. It was chilly, but my bike loves running in cold weather, always has. I decided next time I'm wearing my mittens, even with the grip heaters I had three really cold fingers. Otherwise, with the heated vest, fully suited up with long johns under my jeans and riding suit, heated vest, balaclava under my helmet, I was pretty comfortable.
Now, today, I'll have to go for a ride to get the next tag for the riding game...:D
 
I don't understand this whole concept of only riding part of the year. I do drive my truck if it is raining.

Nice picture Mike. Even with the snowflakes falling, the green grass is showing. Here, in "da frozen 'nort", we still have 6"+ on the ground, and up to 1/2" predicted tomorrow night, which will melt on Saturday. I got out on the bike again Tuesday, but didn't have time for looking for the tag for the riding game. Maybe next time. Today is tire changing day. My front tire still has some tread, but it's cupping and I've noticed cracks in the tread lines. Not too safe anymore, and it's only got about 16,000 miles on it. I usually get closer to 20,000 out of the front, but I think my CA trip last year was rough on it.
