DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I just picked up a basket case bike for parts and found this gem of a front wheel. It was supposed to be on a GS450L, and low and behold is drilled for dual front rotors! Just my luck, as that's what I want to do to my bike. Anybody out there recognize what model it might be from? Both my other GS450's are only drilled on the Left side and have a completely different hub design.

Thanks,
Scott

Not at all a mystery bro. As you'll soon see, Suzuki didn't like to retool for anything unless they had to. ALL GS front wheels were drilled both sides for dual disc, whether it had them or not. Even the spoked wheels.

Hmmmm

Hmmmm

Thanks, though my 2 stock 450s does not have them drilled I assure you.

Thanks guys, I really love it when this stuff happens.

Yup, my GS450L's front wheel is like that too. Just a black cap on the right side to cover up the drilled holes. Say, you have a GS450 parts bike? Would you part it out as soon as you're done with it? I'm also in the Seattle area.

What do you need? It's in pretty rough shape. I am using it for mock up on a super secret project that I am collecting parts for....

Edit: Just took a look at your bike. Isn't it up on craigslist? What size front tire are you running?

Yeah, I put it up on craigslist just to get an idea of what people will pay for it in the condition it is right now. IT IS NOT FOR SALE.

I need:
- complete headlight assembly
- gauge cluster with the bracket and cables (do not need speedo)
- rear turn signals
- rear view mirrors
- maybe you have lower handlebars?

Send me a PM if you have any of that and a price.

Ok....so

Ok....so

How do I clean up this bad boy? There is a ton of oxidation on it. I don't have a blasting cabinet, so I guess I have to do it by hand. Any recommendations? Anyone using a homegrown version of Trailer Brite?
