DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I used to try and teach people how to ride on my CR250 but it was very mean to them :o I would warn them in advance that they had to manually reach down and put the kick starter back into its storage position but they would forget and be punished thoroughly for it! As soon as you would hammer the gas letting in the clutch the kick starter would fly up at 200mph and smack you in the back of the calf  . hehe, everybody who rode that bike for their first time, including me, had a big black bruise on there leg for a week and hobble around for 3 or 4 days. Luckily nobody ever forgot to put the kickstarter back after that.

My wife named her Suki and I call the the Valk The Beast. Even my step son calls it The Beast. When I first got it he came up to me one morning. Dad can we take The Beast to school this morning? I said sure. Sure scared all the cell phone talkin, fu fu coffee drinking make up puttin on SUV drivin housewives to death when we pulled up.

I don't usually name my motorcycles but when you have two of the same model you have to distinquish them somehow. The one I've restored and had awhile, is just called Turbo. The other one came later and looks like s**t, so it became Number Two. :D

MINES 'BLACK BEAUTY', PROBABLY NOT ORIGINAL, BUT IT SURE FITS!!!

The kids named mine Mr. White, it is white GS750ES with red stripe. I tried to push for Miss White, but my wife complained

Whats' in a name?

Whats' in a name?

My 1150ES, I just wound up calling it "The Beast" mostly because I'm the one who turns the bikes (Me & wifes also) around in the garage pointed 'out'.
My wife just calls hers' "MINE"

Rick.........

Some times I call it Pig, Like if it dies when I haven't set the choke just right.

Other times it's holy @#%&. When I punch it to climb out of a valley and I find myself going much faster than I like.

Still others it's the baby, if I am cleaning.

But when I am riding it is too much a part of me to give it it's own name.

Usually the GS is called beauty....smooth as silk and full of grace...but this year with all the trouble I have had it has been inching toward another name starting with a "b". The Beauty part came about as sort of counter point to "the Beast" wich is what a friend of mine named my truck after he borrowed it one day ( i forgot to tell him about a few little ol' mods that had been done) I guess it kinda scared him, but they both came back in one piece...and he was smilin'. I prefer to call it the Hell Raisin...stole the name from my friends ol' lady's lipstick that happened to be the same color....at least I keep my self amused.

I named my 78 GS1000E "The Velvet Fist" or just "Velvet" for short. I just finished the motor. 1085 kit from wiseco, they sorta jerked me around on that, after many years of great service. 3 angle valve job w/new valves, springs and seals. 34mm mikuni flatslides, dyna ignition, V&H pipe. Looking to get more "Fist" out of the old girl. plenty more to do yet though.

"Suzi-Q" Short for Suzi-Quick. Though at the moment she's gettin an overhaul.

"We will rebuild her better than before." :D
I was in to the 6 million dollar man as a kid.

I have called my bike so many names like %$#@&*!!..............and *%$#!!@# but the two names that stuck are Michael (Short for "Mental Michael Motorcycle")This name originated after I let a friend of mine try the bike after a few mods. He got off it said "That thing is F......ng mental!" The other name was given to me by a friend at the dragstrip he calls it "the bottle rocket" for obvious reasons

Did I ever tell you my brother in law calls his 84 GS1150EF 'godzuki' because he is a little guy he refers to it as a cross between a MC and godzilla.

mine is the "frickin' b***ch" because she is so cold hearted and temperamental and is mean to my husband  if he doesn't treat her nice
but we love her and keep her anyways because she is like a member of my family like my 15 year old kitty cat
she may be somewhat geriartric but we still love her

Since i bought my bike last fall its name has been "The Stubborn Beast" cause the damn thing just won't run right no matter what i do. So far last summer i put in a new head gasket and carb boots, did a major carb job on it twice, had to drill and tap a broken header bolt, and helacoil a stripped spark plug hole. To top it off my buddy dropped the tank while helping me one day and then my other friends dad knocked it over with the semi!!!!!!!!!!! Its comming back together finally so hopefully by spring it has a new name.

I call my gsx1100 '83/84? "Drag-on" . Because it just keeps dragging on to the next corner. And "Dragon" without the"-" is a fire spitting, bulky dinosaur kind of beast, just like mine. :D

Other good dirtbike names: Conan, Mufasa(a big old CR500 that you could hear 2 valleys over), BB (Bone Breaker). Many guys just called their bike after an ex wife or girlfriend so they could cuss at them!
A buddy of mine called my '82 IT250 "The Blue Death" after he discovered how quickly the power came on and promptly crashed it. He was used to his PE175, which had a little more of a linear powerband. 8)
