Nasy brake fluid

I flushed my brake system about a month ago. I opened up the master cyl cap because I was replacing the pads I look in there and ewwwwwww gross. Its a tan fluid. Is this coming from my brake line? I did rebuild the caliper and cleaned the master cyl. If its the hose should I go with SS? I cant find the thread for that as well. Thanks guys!

Unless you have brake fluid in your engine, I would post this in the brake section.

Should be in the brake section but yes the hose is crap and falling apart. SS lines are so much better and feel better on the leaver.
About $27 usually but you have to measure yours and choose the right size of bolts, 12mm 14mm .... and the proper angles at both ends and the last thing is to set the angle between the two. One might be 90 or 45 degrees from the other one when you lay the cable down flat.

I changed my brake fluid and it looked dirty not long afterward, I then went to replace the seal under the reservoir and there was crap under it. cleaned that out made a difference in the color of my fluid.

Replace the brake lines. The old lines build up with a layer of scum that quickly fouls clean fluid. Suzuki calls for replacing the lines every TWO years. Even though this may be excessive, waiting 30 years is just plain foolish.

Okay. Time to replace that line. Any good websites to get them off? I differently want a SS one. I do want it prob something like 6" shorter then stock because of the bars I have on it. Thanks guys!

I just want to point out - measure the length you need with the front end up in the air (fully extended). Things turn ugly if you brake line is TOO short.........
