A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Putting everything back together and just want to make sure i have everything correct.

Need the wiring diagram for the 80 750 L model.

Also, if anyone would be so good to throw me a pic of under the tank, under the air filter, and under the left side cover of a similar model, I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks in advance guys, you've helped me a ton!

What do you need to know? Our bikes should have the same wiring.

HA! Dont you WISH! none of these damn things have the same wiring. Not even from one 750 to another. Its all back-asswards. Oh by the way, did you know that if you ACCIDENTALLY hook your Dyna or other ignition wire up to your fuel gauge, It WILL fire the bike on one cylinder? HAHAHA. Now to be helpfull instead of insane :) , if Chef cant answer your question, I have wiring diagram for YOUR bike that i can refer to if ya need.

I'm sure its as simple as just connect colors to colors, but theres a few loose ends that I'm unsure of.

If theres any way you can hook me up with that diagram, that would be MOST excellent.

Unfortunately, a good amount of the colours of wires changed from year to year, model to model, displacement to displacement on many of the bikes. Hell in the 750 manual alone, that covers 77-83, there are by my count 7 different wiring diagrams. I dont have a scanner to give you a diagram from, but if you have specific questions, i can help as much as i can :)

Thanks for the wiring diagram!

Anyone feel like being a REAL nice guy and shooting me a couple pics of under the tank and the wiring under the seat? Maybe a pic of under the left side cover too?

:) :) :) :)

Well, it looks to me like the 1100 has a different setup than the 750 because none of these colors match up.

Anyone got a 750 diagram?
