Hi Guys,
Going crazy trying to find the right fuel petcock for my 81 gs1100
Don't want to buy a garbage one.
Bike doesn't have vacuum line from carb hooked up to peacock
And it dies if I put it from prime to ON.

Who has the good fuel petcocks for sale?
LOL
I know dumb question .😔
If anyone can help
Thanks

Thanks I just called them none in stock...on back order
They dont know when they would get them in.
Could be 2 weeks or more..then another 7-10 shipping..
But then backorder could be more than a month or so .
Geez...
Maybe Ebay has them? Or any on Amazon like an aftermarket good one?
My Luck .LOL

There are many Suzuki dealers on line if you search. Someone may have one on the shelf. Or it could be discontinued.
OEM is the best option, reliability wise, if you can find one.
Otherwise there are the Pingal petcocks, (which I have), and some other aftermarket ones.
This came up earlier this summer, so I am sure someone has the info. Maybe Z1 Enterprises?

Good luck...

Why not install the vacuum line, it's not supposed to work in "on" pos. without it...Did I miss something?

Yes the vacuum line is supposed to be hooked up to the petcock from the carbs but if the inside diaphragm on the petcock is cooked the vacuum hooked up won't draw fuel in the "on" position. Thats why mine is fried.
So I'm running it on prime but need the new petcock replacement.
Found one on Ebay I ordered. Part number 18-4359 which is a replacement for 44300-45471 part number.
Now let's hope this part works

?....Part number 18-4359?

sounds like Georgefix?s store. He sells two versions.. one has less reserve capacity (shorter tube inside petcock filter for reserve pickup). I need to replace mine soon as it still flows gas , but lever is about frozen in ?on?.
I believe the 18-4359 is the version with less reserve, which is what I got 10 years ago.

don?t forget to replace the dowty washers under mounting bolts.

Sorry, I saw "Bike doesn't have a vacuum line from carb hooked up to petcock", & thought shoot, in "ON" position, it's not supposed to run without the vacuum line. Glad you've got it sorted out!!!

Over the yrs., have rebuilt near a dozen Suzuki pet cocks & all have worked fine, dang they are so simple it's hard to see how they can mess up. & nothing to ware out other than the replaceable rubber parts & spring. Last one I worked on was 3 or 4, maybe 5 yrs. ago now, on my "05" Bandit 1200, it filled the crankcase with fuel while sitting over the winter. Wanting to ride & not wait for a kit, I took it apart, cleaned the seal & seat & stretched the spring, just a tad. No problems since. I see it regularly, but backing up 50 yrs. to install a manual pet cock on a streetable bike is just hard for me to understand.
