A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey guys,

I just acquired a 1983 or so Yahama XT 200 and need a site like the GS resources technical forum......any ideas would be appreciated....

Try and use this site. Many of the guys are familiar with more than just GS's.

I agree a Yamahe fourm would be nice if the crew was like these folks.

I recently aquired a TT500, 81 I think. Spent 10 years in a chicken coup and I'm still scraping the chicken s--T off it. Done some web searching and found very little in the way of parts or forums so I'm kinda winging it right now....

Whats the state of your XT 200?

It seems none of the Suzuki guys can spell "Yamaha" lol

But sorry, I don't know of any forums for Yammies no matter how you spell it.

Oh come on....
That's not nice
I started riding on YAMAHA, see there I spelled it right,
I am sure there are people here that can and will help you. We are a multi-faceted group. 8O  :P

I used to have an SR500 yamahammer, been looking for another, great bikes. Ill have to agree with right here being a good place to start for info.

Have'nt picked up bike yet, hope to pick it up on Sunday around the football games......(Go Falcons)

if you find one let me know.

if you find one let me know.

I have a 1965 Yamaha YM1 Cross Country Sport. 305cc parellel twin 2-stroke with injection! 8O I am having a REAL hard time finding ANY parts for it I would like a forum as well!

Yamaha, Yamaha, Yamaha, Hmm.. Must have been the keyboard

b717doc, gotta get that bike where you can start on it.

Found OEM parts lookup!

I've managed to get spark in my the "thing" yesterday. At the moment its been christened the "Thing". Still could use new points. I think the carb will meter hydrocarbons well enough. Need to come up with an air filter solution. The air box is intact but after I cleaned out the mouse house there was no filter element to be had.

My brothers and dad rode the Barstow2Vegas race back in 1988, and the only one who finished was my older brother on a Yamaha IT200. He even finished on a flat tire after riding over some sabotage by some enviro activitsts (terrorists?). After that we christened the bike "The Hammer."

I kind of cut my teeth on an XT250, 1984 model I think. Great bike for desert and dirt riding, and getting around town.

I have a 1975 XS650, and I was once on a list devoted to Yamaha 650s. You may be able to locate it through the 650 Society website. They're a good bunch (as I've found the case to be with nearly all motorcycle owners/riders/wrenchers), and would probably be helpful with your 200.

Good luck.
