A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I snagged a set of these - anyone else use them ?

24 liters per side -

I had picked up a like new Nelson Rigg tail bag a few months back so this makes a nice amount of storage for me.

Those look a lot like my old set I used on the 850 and the GSX1100G, the things are huge! They were too big for the SV and I sold them. Great bang for the buck!

I had them in my cart and backed out. Just too big for my small bike, but I really liked the feature set.

They also have the smaller sport version for a little less.

I wanted bigger on purpose.

They look great. I have the smaller ones but wish I had those for my 850 GL.

Thanks for the headsup on these. Looks like Christmas is coming early for this ol boy. I placed my order a few minutes ago.

Great deal, i have the CL-950 on the Bandit, good fit and great for everyday use,the bummer was they sun faded from Black to Navy in about a week?

Ah, good to know. I wonder if Scotchguard is also a UV protectorant. If so, I'll be sure to give it a good coat. ;)

I Don't know, give it a shot.
It was dissapointing to see these bags fade so quickly, but what can ya do? :(

Another idea is to take advantage of their no hassle guarantee every so often ;)

I will look into that, i purchased the bags from an EBay vendor, new with all the warranty stuff included, so maybe i'll shoot NR an email? see what they say?:)

I only use mine a few days per year so the fading is not very fast on mine.

The UV protect spray is a great thought still.

For daily rides I wear a backpack or messenger bag.

Well long time getting back to this, but Nelson Rigg told me they would replace my cl950 bags if i paid the shipping both ways from Ontario Kanadah to Kalifornica! no quibble my arse, dissapointed is putting it mildly. :(

I bought a couple Nelson Rigg tank bags from Dennis Kirk close outs on E Bay. The description said they were display models or something, but they were brand new. I don't leave them on long enough to worry about fade. I'm pretty happy with them for around $45 apiece. I would buy the bags.
