A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Good to hear you made it home ok. When I got back from dinner I mentioned to my wife that I thought you were going to be hard pressed to make it home Sunday night. It took everything I had to make to Shirley's rally in June in one day. 590 miles in 12 hours was a lot. You had about the same to do in one day.

I like the pictures you took. You've got a good eye.

It was great to hook up for drinks and dinner. It's always cool to connect with other members. Tell me the next time you're in town. Enjoy the bike.

I usually make it up there 1 or 2 times per year.

Yea I had a blast indeed. ..

I decided not to make myself miserable so I broke it into 3 legs with the middle being 400 miles.

I will let you know for sure .. loved that restaurant .. what was the name of it ?

OK Jethro .. funniest thing happened today.

Had a dyed in the wool Harley girl here at the office, drooling over the bike.

A Suzuki !!

Were you going to paint it same color or change it ?

I really like the current color ..

Cool. we'll have to hook up again.

I wish I had made the Fab Rally trip in two days. It would've been more enjoyable.

The restaurant is called Salt Water Grille. It's especially great in the summer cause you can sit on the deck over the water.

I really like the current color too, but if I spent money I would probably be too tempted to make it a brighter silver rather than anything else. I love the contrast between a black motor and bright silver paint. Probably one of the main reasons I made the final decision on my FZ1.

I had so many people drool over that bike, Harley rider, chopper guys, Ducati riders, sport riders... women of all makes and models \\:D/ You'll see so many people that really appreciate the bike. Enjoy the attention!

I am flying to Manchester New Hampshire next Wednesday to pick up Jethro's 1983 GS1100E. \\:D/

Leaving there, I will ride to South Portland Maine to visit some family for a couple of days.

The weekend of October 20 and 21 will be my longest weekend of riding (should come in at just about 1000 miles) as I make my way back to Kentucky.

I will post up as I can. ..

Found this old thread - Ron (1978GS750E) is helping me wake this bike up from a very long slumber. I'm excited to GS again.
