A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

New GS450GA in Florida

I know this thread is about your GS450A but I'm gonna talk at your Gixxer, the beautiful countryside of Scotland, and that eighties pic of you on the Gixxer.

I like it with the fairings installed but could get use to it being a neked Gixxer. Either way, that bike looks like sheer enjoyment!

I do miss the beautiful countryside of Scotland. I was in awe of the landscape and how the land was utilized by its inhabitants. It felt like going back in time because of its natural beauty. I can probably explain it better but I will leave it at that.

Now as far as your pic on the bike...so 80s. (Which I pretty much declare the best decade ever!) Anyhow, what a handsome devil you are...I'm surprised to hear you have problems with the Ladies. But then again, we are men.

Thanks for sharing pics and YouTube vids of your bike.

Ed

The older pic with the Gixxer is around '97 or thereabouts. Probably close to the time HK was being handed back to China.

Coincidentally, I bought the bike from an American guy that was going home to the USA.

Here's some 1980's shots!

p.s. flattery will get you everywhere lol :P

At Cape Greco in Cyprus (Suzuki Fr50 I think?):

Heading off to see The Cult in Hanover (Germany) in 1987:

Young hooligan shot in Scotland - probably winter of '84 due to short haircut:

Took some new photos of my bike today after transferring the title and choosing an "Antique" tag for the bike!

Bike Porn! Just kidding....

I am enjoying these new pics. And nice touch with antique plates.

Well I noticed my front left fork seal was weeping today so tried the "dragging-a-bit-of-thin-plastic-around-the-seal-method" to clean it out.

Just like this chap but without buying a "Sealmate" product:

Hopefully it will work but fork seals look pretty cheap on eBay so far....just the thought of all the work to strip and replace that puts me off but not the end of the world really I suppose...

One of my mates in the UK suggested using an old photo negative but it was easier to cut up a gallon milk jug that was in the bin!

I still need to think about taking the carbs off again to see if I can figure out where the hell those bloody BB's came from....!
