A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

New guy saying hi. Names Josh.

Bought a 79 GS550 3 years ago for $50 as a pile of parts. Loaded it up in my mustang and went to work getting her ready to ride. Was missing 75% of the bike so o decided to hard tail it and make it a kicker only bike. Long story short on her she's all done and fun as hell. Handles like a dream being rigid frame and take off like a rocket.

Got the wife to get her mc license and bought her a 83 shafty 850 that was already bratted. She didn't like the wight so I ride it and she sports the 550 kicker. (Lucky girl)

Been a Lurker for a while for all my needs of specs and such and decided to join this plentiful wealth of knowledge forum.

Welcome, hard to believe a bike can fit in a mustang but I's probably been done before. Glad its working for you two. There is some great expertise on this site.

Howdy Josh ! Welcome to the nut house.....actually that's in OT. Recommend you steer clear :)

Thanks for the welcome.

As for the bike in the mustang. The guy I bought it from didn't think it would fit either. I leaned the passenger seat all the way back, put the frame and wheels on the front seat and loaded the motor and forks up in the trunk.

That's essentially all that came with the bike. Frame, harness, kerker 4-1, forks, motor and wheels. Everything.g else was gone. But I made it work. Oh and the tank. Tomorrow I'll post the pics of the bike when and how I got it and some of the build shots.

What??? No pictures of that?? :p You didn't mention what year Mustang, but I wouldn't even attempt anything like that in my 2001.
