A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I posted these in my project thread, but I also wanted to post it here for all to see.
There are a couple guys on here that have ordered these turn signals and all gave good reviews.
I don't know if they used the same seller or not, but newkitty1116 treated me right.
I purchased the lights a little over a month ago and they never arrived.
When I contacted newkitty1116, he quickly replied they were most likely lost in the mail.
He then asked if I wanted a refund or for him to resend the lights at no extra charge.
I told him to send them on to me. And a week later they arrived.
newkitty1116 was very gracious and helpful, and very quick to respond.

Okay, enough about the seller. Now let's talk about the lights.
These babies are actually a lot smaller than they appear on eBay.
For me, that was a pleasant surprise. They are quite perfect.
They have a very durable feel and are really gorgeous.

From the eBay page:

Motorcycle Turn Signal Indicator Chrome Orange Short x 2

I ordered two sets for a total of four lights. My bill, shipping included, was $7.54.
Expect delayed shipping, as they will be coming from China.
But if you haven't received them by the estimated arrival date, let him know, promptly.

I think the pictures I have show the size better than what's on eBay, see for your self.
These lights also have a better finish than what's depicted on eBay.

item #1) plastic threads strip easy, sometimes pullout from inside

item #2) they break away here and dangle, break even after re-gluing

item #3) cheap wires, a lot of pre cuts for stripping, and too thin.

I have these same ones, I've had to rebuild mine, see my thread here
http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=193207

They look good at first, but won't last, Mine are fine now, now that I rebuilt them with a metal stem.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess for that price, it really is too good to be true.
I'll now expect trouble and hopefully be pleasantly surprised, instead of the opposite.

I used to be a Fedex guy in Dixie County and delivered Suwannee and much of Old town. I can only say, you sure don't sound like you're from Dixie County. No smear of your county intended.

Knowing how most people are around here, I can only take that as a compliment. LOL
So thanks.

BTW, I've lived in Old Town for close to 30 years, so you may have delivered me a package or two.

Possibly, I went west to about Shady Grove Mobile Home Park (I think that was the name) and north to about Hyw 351. I probably didn't deliver that area for about the last 10 years or so. I haven't been there since they went to 911 format addresses and haven't been at Fedex at all since Nov 2010. I think red-haired Carla is there now. Or maybe John.
