Hey guys i just recently got my 82 GS650GL. I had ridden the bike around for a little bit and couldnt shut off the choke completely or else it would stall. i was told it was most likely because the jets were dirty/plugged so i took the carbs off cleaned everything well, and put in new seats, needles, orings and gaskets. when i put the carbs back on yesterday and fired up the bike i still couldnt kill the choke even after having the bike on for aboot 10 minutes. i then realized theres no air filter on the bike!! so immediatley shut it off. i was wondering if the lack of air filter could cause the mixture to run too lean causing me to need the choke on all the time??
Thanks for any Help
