I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I am new to this forum and loving it so far. i just recently bought a 83 gs 750e engine seems to be solid, i am only getting spark out of 1&4 plugs. and if i switch the wires i get spark frum3 the 2 and 3 plugs. the more i dive into the bike i find that the previous owner cobed things together. is there subose to be a jumper wire between the coils or is there a nuther problum ?????

You have a short or something between the ignition and the coil. Trace that bad wire back down to the right side cover

Could be a lack of power to one coil, or a problem with a signal generator. Could be a bad coil.

i have a story.
bought an 83750E pre-internet days for 100 bucks from a local free paper.
guy said it only ran on 1-4 or 2-3 i don't remember.
he started parting it out.
carbs and air box gone by then.
i put a set of 87 GSXR 1100carbs on it...started up and ran on only 1-4 or 2-3.
looked looked and looked some more.......
on the left side rear back by the chain i think it was...some wiring had been rubbed through by the chain...that was it..repaired that and she was running on all 4.
called the guy back the same day and told him what i found and that it ran great.
he was like WTF do i care, you trying to rub it in:twistedevil:
the end.

Ahhh story time.
I'll light the fire. :-\\\

keep in mind, these coils fire 2 cylinders a peice, and if im not mistaken, one does 2-3, one does 1-4. If you are having a no spark situation on 2 cylinders specific to one coil. start with the coil. I would swap the power wires from the working coil to the non working coil for starters. If the coil begins working, then you know both coils are working. Then all you have to do is find out why you dont have any power to one of the coils. Should be relatively easy to find.

Check on the Basscliff site for a manual and wiring diagram. Should be helpful in tracing the problem

thx for the input i just hope i dont have to put more cash in this bike and its sumthing stupid ill keep u poster od whot i find

lol thx i think i found the problem. im almost positive that the cdi box(little black box that controls the spark) is shot eny 1 know ware i can get a cheep 1 used maybe??? wish i culd just ride the thing i got mabe 30 min on it at 1/2 power cant wate to see whot it can do with all 4 cylinders.

you need an early mechanical advance unit also.
the factory box is 400 ish from suzuki.
never know what you may pick on up for used.
you will also need a deeper ignition cover from an earlier model.
