Ok guys, I am in dire need of help w/ my 82 GS1100E. Here's a list of what I've done. I have a set of accel super coils which give all the proper OHM resistance readings (3 ohms on primary and 12.2k on secondary), working coil relay mod, signal generator tested damn near perfect, new spark plugs (ngk d8ea) and accel 8.8mm wires, carb rebuild, charged battery but still no spark.
I'm getting 11.8v at the + side of the coils but when I follow the procedures to see if I am getting spark at the plugs (putting a tester on the blue/green wires on ignitor) but still not getting anything. I followed the instructions and placed the #3 and 4 plugs on the head to ground them but nothing.
The tester I'm using is a GB Instruments GDT-11 pocket tester. When I do the test to get a spark, the book states to put it at the "1xOHM" setting which I assume is the lowest setting which on mine is 200ohms.
The engine cranks over strong and sucks in gas just as it should. I am just at a loss as to what I am missing or what else could be wrong. I really appreciate whatever help you guys can give.
