A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

North central PA rides/riders?

I am currently planning a trip for Sunday and Monday the 16th and 17th of this month. Not exactly sure where I am going yet.

The weather may be questionable those days, if you decide not to go and want to do a single day trip later in the week give mea shout, I can pull a day off without notice at any time.

will do. I have been watching the weather and monday looks better than tuesday.

Doug and I are near Philly. Nice town to visit but hell on a motorcycle.

I know just about every road between my house and harrisburg. On top of that I've crisscrossed the mountains by bicycle a few times. I think a nice long ride is doable but planning is essential. I'll put together a preliminary route tomorrow.

I know I stated earlier that the bike was ready, however I probably will not be able to join any rides, at least not for any great length of time.

Due to the recent (6 months ago) addition to the family and all adjustments being made with the new life, I very much doubt my wife will OK a GS ride for me this year. Or at least anything resembling any ride we have done before, and those being talked about currently.

That being said, I'll keep my eye on this thread and if you do all plan to head to northern PA and I can join for a short leg of the trip I will do my best to Join, even if just for a couple of hours.

Hey all, I am just west of Philly as well. Let me know what all you decide to do with this idea, I would love to join some fellow GSers on a ride.

I live in Curwensville, and ride pretty much in that area quite often.

I am think of putting a ride to go up to Worlds End State park in May. Anyone interested?

Was just wasting beaucoup time here at the office and uncovered your thread. I'm from Sayre, PA - a bit north and east of you guys, but close enough. I'm pretty familiar with St. Mary's area (went to college at IUP).
If anything develops for a PA ride, let me know - I'm curious about my GS and it would be nece to meet a few others. You may be a little south of the stateline, but the roads in NY are a lot better.

I see this is an old thread But if you want to head up to the Grand Canyon Let me know I want to head Back down again. Can probably round up a couple of locals to join me.

Pat

There is another rider down your way I think Handel PATHUNDER, give him a look,

Last time I was at the PA Grand Canyon was 13 years ago. I've been wanting to make a day trip back up there, but haven't got around to it yet. If anyone wants to set up a meet up, I'm up for it.

Friend of mine has a camp in Sheffield. I get up their
from Pittsburgh 7 or 8 times a year. Some of the best
motorcycle roads in Pa. And one of my favorite destinations.

I also do preventive maintenance on carbon/sulfur
analyzers at a couple of powdered metal companies
in Ridgeway.

Anybody up for a meeting Sunday to Monday? Not 100% but I am thinking about it.

Pat
