A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Valves arent rubber tiped. The line werent hooked up wrong. Theres only one fitting between carb 2&3. The other tee fittings between1&2 AND 3&4 are the bowl vents right. Someone said the carbs had seperate vents but only if they are apart. Mine have 2 Tee fittings and 2 lines for the vents.

Just giv'N ya ha hard time . :D

I have a similar bike and have been through everything air/fuel related with it.
At first, it was fun. By the time I got it right, some of these guys were tired of me. Some still are.;)

I've had a couple harleys and I've thought about doin just that.:D:D

it's how you can fix a leaky needle valve if you have solid steel needles and brass seats.
be diplomatic with the smallest hammer you have, and a small drift, ....

Update

Thanks to all the fine info here. Tore the carbs down again and soaked in dip, all new O-rings, some tiny pin holes in the diaphrams repaired. Bike runs great and I still have to balance the carbs and read the plugs. Still overflowing if I leave the petcock on. I did route the fuel line down the out side of carb 1, then underneath, then up to the fuel inlet. Takes longer to over flow now. So if i run the line under the bike, around the tail light and back I should be good.:D Time to start mounting the sidecar.

"Still overflowing if I leave the petcock on"

For some reason the fuel is overpowering your fuel needles. Turn the petcock off when you are parked.

I put in an auxiliary shut off. One of those plastic ones from lowes.http://www.ereplacementparts.com/images/part_698180-1_med.gif The diaphragm in the petcock is missing the little brass tabs on the back so it does not shut off, I have a kit ordered. The needles and seats are all new from z1 enterprises and floats were set with float level gauge and they did not overflow on the workbench. Only happens on the bike, after about 5 min of not running, with the gas turned on. The bike runs fine and does'nt over flow when running.
