    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sorry to hear you will sell it. Sure you cannot find a way to keep it?
I got my '83 1100 for my 21st birthday nearly 30 years ago. Don't think I will ever sell it. Will result in too much regret and misery. Like when I sold my '70 446 Challenger S/E.
Sorry

no immediate selling plans ... but I'll not lament it when time comes. Just hope the next person gets as much of a kick as I did!

Maiden spring journey

Maiden spring journey

Got her out today for 20 miles or so. Still the coolest bike I know of.

Just discovered this thread - Ooh Katana Overload! Would love to own one someday... It's somewhere on my (rather extensive) Garage-Bucket List...

About five or six years ago my then boyfriend and a friend of his were fixing up two Kats; I believe his got a transplant in the form of a GS1100 motor (they bought it as a rolling frame). Pity is, we got to ride on it once. The day after that a taxi jumped a red light and ended his life too soon :(

His friend sold the two Kats for next to nothing right after that - I haven't seen either of them since. Don't even have photos to share!

So I found some internet-link-thingys:

Not too sure about those pipes sticking out behind the seat...:

A very nice orange item:

These pics were taken during Suzuki's 50th anniversary in the U.S. at the 2013 Indy Moto GP. Suzuki asked me to put the unmodified example on their walk thru history time-line. My Kat 1000S got to spend the day hanging out with this nice Blk and Silver modded Kat 1100.

The Cycle World pictorials on the wall were really neat.

At the Cycle World Rolling Concourse on Saturday.

My Kat was 1 of 4 seen all weekend and the only unmodified example to be found.

This may be late, but.....VERY cool Sean!! Very cool indeed!!

I'll preface this with the caveat that I don't have a Katana, but I came across this site and it's drool worthy:

http://www.ac-sanctuary.co.jp/rcm/rcm-katana/

They do complete resto-mods, from the ground up. Each one of these bikes runs about $40k. They are stunning. Anyone ever heard of these guys?
