A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

OK i don't have a pic but I will try to explain it as good as possible. on my right side stock exhaust muffler I all of a sudden noticed a rattling sound. I was just letting the bike warm up for a carb sync. I shut the bike down, afraid it was resonating from the motor. Turns out the internal baffle is rattling around somehow. I took a closer look and found a very well hidden patch job where there was a hole in the muffler wall. I picked at it with just my finger, not the smartest thing to do while its hot, and it all pealed up. By it all I mean like some kind of metal putty mesh compound stuff, that I have never seen before, was apparently pressed and buffed smooth over a piece of Dr. Pepper can. So I now have the problem of a lose baffle floating around inside of a sealed end muffler. WHAT DO I DO!!! Do I pay someone to cut it open and weld the stuff all back together, or do I just buy a 4 into 1 or something stock? What would you guys do?

First things first, go to USER CP above in the blue bar, click EDIT SIGNATURE and add your bike, year and model so we know what bike you are talking about. Plus it keeps you from having to remember to tell us in every post when you ask a question.
Do that so we know your ride:) Someone could possibly have an exhaust and offer it to you for a decent price too.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a mig welder. Don't go cheap with the type that requires flux wire. Get a setup with argon c02 bottle and solenoid valve- or take it off and have a welder repair both mufflers. If one's shot- the other is right behind the first. Or buy some new pipes. Decisions, decisions, .....
