Pic's of routing would be most appreciated. Thinkin' of going up between 1-2 and 2-4 carbs and making stand off like used on clutch cable. But if someone has a better routing , I got no commitment to this . Got a lockhart cooler that feeds off each side .

I had to mount my cooler (Lockhart) upside down (entry/exit on the bottom) due to it essentially hitting the header installed the other way. Even then, the chrome cover could not be used. That made routing the lines more difficult. I mounted it to the horn mounts. I just ran mine down and over the clutch cover on the right, and along the frame, and down the left side of the frame and then up the frame in front to connect. I'm not real fond of how the lines are routed, but I bought x-amount of it, and ended up running short. I want to go with steel braided lines later, so I'll fix it then.

Deuce your right , holding the cooler up looks like upside down or vertical on one side are my options. Going with rubber hoses (too much chaffing with s/s hose). Got some fiberglas spark plug sleeves will cover hoses as they pass between the carbs and close to the heads. Will post up a pic when I get it all sorted.oil feed lines.jpg

This is how my Yoshimura set up is routed.....its on a 1000, but would work the same on a 1100

GS850gl.jpgThis is exactly what im looking to do! except on my GS850gl. where can I get this oil cooler and hardware?

Thanks for the replies , I got a oil pressure sensor plate at the boneyard. Free! I brought pizza and a soda's... I got some s/s hose but kind of want to run the hoses hidden between the carbs and along the frames smaller tubes running under the tank line. So going with rubber hosing and fiberglass heat shielding(where I run it up between carb 3-4 and use a wire standoff like clutch cable has(grabbed one at same time as the plate. Will hide the hosing for a sleeker look. Going to play with reversing and flipping the horns so they angle up and putting the cooler bellow on same bolts. May block some flow on the cams. Will see and take pics as it develops.

Earls cooler, Custom adapter and earls lines. Mega dollar. Only fits due to 18in wheel and GSX 550 ESD front guard 3.jpg

You can pick up a nice Earl's cooler for about $100. Then you can make Earl's lines to match your prefered routing method. I put a cooler system from Earl's parts for my old 850, routing one hose around each side of the engine sort of like Sharpy did. This way the hoses are the shortest possible.

Using a set of 750 oil pump gears is a good idea when installing a cooler since they spin the pump faster and will help make up for the pumping losses from the extra plumbing.
