Hi everyone I'm toying with the idea of an oil cooler for my 540 project.
I'm just undecided on the way to go.
Here are a few thoughts
1 tap into the oil filter cavity and run an external filter and the cooler inline.
2 Tap into the case sump and use an electric pump to circulate the oil when it hits a certain temp.
3 Use a gs500 case with the provisions in it already.
I know the gs500E have a special pan with two connections for a cooler but I can't find a picture of the case its self. I know the pan is slightly different but the case must also be machined to match, so I can't see just using the pan.
I'm open to ideas. And I'd appreciate any pictures of a 500e case.
Thanks.
