If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Oil leak from crankcase breather

The crankcase breather is puking out oil pretty good and I cant determine why so I hope you guys can help me with some ideas. Compression on all the cylinders is 145-150psi. Breather tube out of valve covers is not plugged. I took off the cover and looked inside just some oil mist in the middle but nothing on the wire mesh. Oil is filled just bellow the full mark on the sight glass. When running it flows out of the 1/8th inch tube and out of the top of the fitting.

it is probably blow buy, I added some hose and routed it to below the engine. Some guys use a catch can, I also plugged the hole on the air box.

With the bike standing up level, on both tires, the oil level should only be at the MIDDLE of the widow. I'll bet if you remove some oil, it will stop pushing it out the breather! If not then you have a LOT of blowby. With the compression #s you gave I don't think that will be the issue though. Ray.

Hi Mr. berl,

How about the tube at the top of your airbox where the breather tube attaches, is that clear?

I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.
