Oil pan fitment for '79 GS-750e?

So, my drain plug is stripped out, are there any models that share the same oil pan as the 750? There's some cheap 850 and 1000 ones on ebay right now, and some pricey 750 ones. Anyone know? Here's what I'm looking at:

I am pretty sure that the only one thats gonna fit that motor is a 77-79 750 pan. And even then, unless its a 79 pan specific to your model (E or L) the location of the drain plug is going to be different...ask me how I know The 850 and 1000 had significantly changed blocks due to one being a shafty, and the other, the 1000, never had a kickstarter, therefore the block was smaller. They may look like they'll work, but i seriously doubt it.

EDIT: Ok i just looked at the link for the 79 750 pan, and if you think $25 bucks is expensive to spend on getting your bike going....well, i got some reallly bad news for you.......

I hear ya, but 99 cents compared to $25 is quite a difference

I might just bite the bullet, but I just wanted to see if I could fake it...

If you look at the Suzuki parts manual the sump cover is different for the 16 valve engines compared to the 8 valve. I'd stick with the proper part since the cover often integrates with the oil pump; you could mess up your oiling system even if the cover itself fit on the engine.
