A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

looks good! loose all the emblems--it keeps them guessing!

I've always liked the looks of yur bike, has a nice stance. I'd loose the emblems, paint the tank black, hack off the seat rails just behind the shock mounts, and use yur stock rear fender mounted tight to the wheel and painted black of course.Get rid of the turn signal stalks. I'd loose the solo sprung seat and go w/ a contoured pan mounted to the rails to flow w/ the lines you've got goin on. Oh yea, and a limp-dick tailight. Details, it's all about the details...

Seeing as how its "strutted" i would be VERY leery about hacking off any more of the "seat rails" That "loop" that used to exist there did alot to keep torsion on the frame back there to a minimum. Since you're obviously not going to be scraping pegs on that sucker in the corners, it might not be that big of a problem, but were it MY project, i would run another cross brace between the upper rear frame there just to give it some more lateral support. just my .o2

ok i gotta ask what the hell is a limp-dick tail light? the rear fender is a project in itself i am filling in the holes left by the brake light then putting it in the place of the one that is there now

hey i always apreciate the input cafe but your right i will not be grinding any pegs any time soon so it might have to be left off for now

i was out your way po boy in lovely downtown harrison for a ride today nice day for one! i also have a nice led light kit with wireless remote to add just for kicks to!

the reason i like it is because it does not look like your trying to copy a harley , so leave the emblems

looks like it is very loud, not really a fan of the seat but to each their own ;)

I think one of those big solo seats you see on the old cop bike would look and feel great on your bike.. other than that.... I like it! Looks like a street killer :p

Totally stock front, no ass, struts to break the frame and no seat.
Another punk with no imagination and a hacksaw.

Wow! That's a proper bi*ch slappin.

The guy was asking for input on his build, so he can make it the bike he can't quite imagine. While i agree that the bike is a bit "stock n chopped" with no real flow from front to tail, i wouldn't verbally attack the dude for it.

I'll offer my 2 penneth, while i'm here:

Lose the rear pegs, you ain't gonna go pillion, right?(might involve chopping and welding the frame to do it right)
lose those huge indicators, they have no place on this kind of bike (since you've got what appears to be plastic plugs in the frame rails, why not put LED indicators in here instead?).
Paint that tank or paint the other parts to match it. Plenty of cheap custom tanks knocking about for a totally different look.
You say you are on with the rear mudguard, good.
Front master looks out of place on flat bars.
Some work up front would make a better looking bike, ie: custom lamp/s, slab yokes, small clocks etc.

I aint slagging it Dude, i actually like the look and may well take a project like this once i've completed my current one. It just needs a few details to take it away from a "hacksaw job" and make it something special. :D
I'm no seasoned pro bike builder myself, so i can understand how easy it is to get a little stuck for ideas, that's what these forums are about isn't it, Helping each other out in times of need?

Stick at it, it's coming along nicely.

I like it too, but I would never trust my life to those struts attached to an aluminium hub. I'm not a big fan (of hardtails) at the best of times so, apart from the danger factor, I'd put the shocks back in there.

I've never understood why a bobber has to be a hardtail???? I plan to build a fat bobber soon too but it will have a soft tail. That will be different.

I really do like it though, it's your bike make it how you want it.

Please give some thought to the amount of hammering those stuts will have to put up with though, your life may depend on it.

Agreed Zooks,
i'm keen on the bobber style and would like to build one, i don't want a hardtail though, my ass-bone can't take the punishment.

Well you can spring the seat, so the sore bum is avoidable but I've seen too many hardtails crack. We've had 'modern' suspension for over 100 years now, might as well use it I reckon.

the reason i asked for advise was to get others input not to be ridiculed for my work i apreciate good and bad input either way is ok with me but to sit there and call another gser a punk just goes to show how some people arent open to change and have no respect for others way to go there tkent nice advise there!

Not to get in the mid. of the start of a good scrap but here?s my .02
I like:
The way it sits
The whole rear end
The seat
Possible next mod:
Led/smaller blinkers
Emblem shave
Passenger foot rest shave

All in all i give it a 8 out of 10 :)
