A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

short test run without clutch :(

Did a short run with the Kat running okay but the fluid clutch is not working. Pumps air into the line and leaks at the handle :(

Spectacular Siggi! Well done :D

Hahaha !! Yes it is a cable tie. And this is not the exhaust i will use. I planted this there just to be able to hear the engine while doing some tuning :) and to test drive a little. :) As you can see, the exhaust is from some other suuki ? think. :) IT is even upside down to sit properly at the bike :) It is also 10 times more heavy than the muffler that will go on the bike :)

Thnx ! :)

Thnx ! :)

I want to thank all you guys for the support and cheering on with this project.

OF course it is far from perfect but i think it got pretty okay for the very low budget i had for this.

My mind is already involved with the final outcome of two other bikes i have :)
Even though i have not started those projects, i alays think the whole project all way through before i start. :) This ay i have a good idea of what i want and how to do it. The result is that the whole project takes a very short time :)

For me, the planning is the key and takes a while sometimes. :) But then when all is in place in my head and the whole conccept with how to do it, then when i start, it goes quickly. OF course setbacks can ake the wind out of a project, and that happened to me couple of months ago. But i think haring the engine roar like Tyrannosaurus REx while menstrating , i go my second wind.

But again, thank you guys for all the confidence. :) I will surely post other of my projects here as soon as they start :) Pictures and all :)

Your kat.

You have helped me to set a new standard on my build.
Thank you!

I wasn't so sure about the colors at first but seeing the whole thing together is a whole different story! Absolutely stunning! If that don't stick out on bike night nothing will! I love it!

It is sold. My Kat is gone.

It is sold. My Kat is gone.

OKay. A man came and bought my Kat. It was a part swap deal and estimated price in total is around 18.000 usd.

So i am looking for another project. :) Oh! but part of the sale was i get a full Spectrachrome.com paint on chrome system :) Nice. :dancing:

I hope you enjoyed my little project here on this 1984 Kat.

I will of course let you follow on with my other projects. i have a little facebookpage also that is related to my adventures in my garage :)

SiggiK,
I loved the bike. Awesome combo of color and coatings. I lived in Iceland in 1987, and then again 1992-94. I was in the USAF working F15's. Your homeland is wild and beautiful, but I wish I could have seen some bikes like yours then. Can't wait to see your next venture.
