Well, the garage space taker (82 gs1100E) that I bought for a PROJECT bike is back from the dead and running (kind of). After sitting in sellers garage for 8 years or so (with gas in tank, carbs and everywhere else) I had to work quite hard to even get it started. After a carb kit, several carb cleanings, and a short found on one of the coils it runs pretty good (at least well enough to annoy the neighbors as my son and I go back and forth up the street).
NOW, before I baseline this bike at the local dragstrip, I am going to replace the chain and sprockets. I ordered a manual off ebay, but it is not in yet. Do I really need to remove left side muffler to remove the wheel. There must be a trick I can use (jack the wheel), jack the frame?.
Thanks.
