A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anthony, nice project, but would you take a few minutes to learn how to post the big pictures????

black.jpg

I don get the big picture

I don get the big picture

can you send me in the right direction

1. easiest way is to load them into photobucket.com account.

2. then copy the IMG code.

3. paste the IMG code into text on post/reply.

DONE.

That's it

Ignore that Attach Files button when you reply. Just paste the Image Code from Photobucket into your reply like you would any other Cut and Paste

You have some nice machines - give us more photos

it
Is a Frankenstein back in black special It all started with a 1978 frame raked 6 degrees
Then I bought a 2006 gsxr1000 swing arm and a 6” wheel it has a 7” m/t slick the front
End is a 1991 gsxr inverted. the motor started life as a 1979 gs1000 it has a welded crank
And cut transmit ion from orient express it has a welded clutch basket a gs1100 two valve head with mild head port
And pop yosh drop in cams there is mtc 13.5 to 1 pistons with dyna coils and ignition
A two step rev limiter to feed it is a set on 36mm flat slides and a v&h sidewinder
I had help building the bike from Charley Sobiech ,Dana Jones, Kenny Gates, Kenny Gaberal,
And last but not least my dad Frank SaRACEno the funny thing is the budget I built it on cheep

Anthony, you might have a 78 skunk hiding under there

It does have a 78 tank, but without the airbox (black) and carbs (choke lever on the side) I can't tell. Wasn't the GS1000E side badge a 78 item?

I'm really glad to hear you're planning a restoration rather than a parts sale. These machines have a lot of life designed into them.

I do have a 78 skunk but it was in front of the 79. I have the title for the burgandy one with the black tank it says 1979. The 78 i rebuild two years ago when i was 16 it was a christmas gift from my dad it came in three baskets and two trucks

A '78 tank, a '79 title, and '80 side covers and tail.
What does the "Mfg. on" date on the steering head plate say?
A great collection you have there, Anthony.
