I acquired a GS1100ES. Yes it is a ES model. It seems to a frankenbike. Motor has an "x" in the ser. #. The frame serial # starts out as GS110x_____. KPH speedo. 80 style taillight. Clear Minnesota title says 1980, And the guy i bought it from claimed it was from Canada. It has leading axel front forks, with damping and rebound adjustments.
The question I have is, I also have a set of newer anti-dive style forks to go along with these leading axle type. I will be rebuilding a set of forks using race-tech valves/springs along with updated brakes using the CBR/Kawasaki brake update available on this site. Which set would I be better off rebuilding. The leading axel fork type or the anti-dive type? I already have brake brackets for the leading anti-dive style that were purchased here. Thanks guys!
