this all started cuz i wanted 36mm flat slides .
and the guy i got then told me chef is the one who tuned them before i got them but its not his falt it is my falt for not calling ray back before i made the last ajustment. but i think its funny that the carbs where in chef hands at one time.. i was under full power and she was running so good then boom lol

chef im coming for your glory buddy. just got to pull the head first

so whats the prize:confused: a pat on the back:confused: new motor from ray
but im a drag racer and this **** happen time to time so like a racer im just going to go bigger and harder lol GO BIG OR GO HOME I SAY!

Truth is, if you haven't blown an engine or two while racing, you haven't been running close enough to the edge to win. ;)

lol

lol

true but i'm not in it for the win.. the rush is better then any win you will every get.. plus how the hell can i win when i line up to full race bikes pushing more hp then i have e.t.'s.

but for me it starts with the hard on i get the morning i head to the track.
by the time i do my burn out I'v blown my wad 2-3 times and have a sticky spot on my leg !!! the win is for ego racers! i do it for the rush ..
its like sex most do it to get off.
i do it for the feel.

Wow, very graphic description & most probably TMI:eek: . But I dig it...if you can't smell burned rubber, you aren't riding hard enough.;)

I didn't set those carbs up for any motor. He just wanted them cleaned with new o-rings. I thought they were going on a stock 1000 eight valve.
In hind site I bet you wish you had jetted a little fatter.

sorry didnt mean it as a bad thing or placing blam. it was just funny too me that it was the same you that did the carbs i love them GREAT JOB i just should have called ray be for going leaner. best of all is i have like 4 motor i save every 16v i can find. has payed off more then once only this time i am just going to install my 1100 motor and set the carb back to that since i know the will work great on a 1100 vs a 750. and today i found out i may be getting 92 883 sportster for my 4x4... but sorry if i made you feel like i was blaming you buy my wording..

Remind me not to ask you guys for carb tuning advice. :P

Shawn, there's an old motor sport saying that still rings true.

"When the flag drops, the Bull Sh!t stops".

BTW, there's no substitute for winning. Adrenalin is a very powerful drug.;)

Once more i say winning is not every thing... Some people just don't get it but oh well.. Im sure the 1100 will be more fun and i know i can jet the carbs for it .. Any one ele's ever set upa set of 36mm RS carb's on a 81 750e?
I WAS TOLD THERE A LIL BIG FOR A 750 BUT I HAD TO TRY ANY WAY.
