A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Got my new improved set last week! Yes, The old ones were still good,-stayed sharp-much used, though I lost the small one somewhere..I passed these two survivorsonto a friend.
The bitset is handy too, slipped into a multi driver or adapted to impact or socket for smaller places but the handled set gets the most use.

I'm pretty tight when it comes to "New" but these have definitely paid for themselves in function and ease.

I got my JIS screwdrivers. They were great. Used them to make the right switchgear sit well, and to reattach the brake hose for the rear brakes.

He forgot sending the bit set, but I emailed him and he answered quickly and said he'd send the impact bits right over. So I am happy with this transaction (impact driver bits are for a later project anyways).

Got my set and the impact driver kit. Used the screwdrivers today and was pleased with the hex bolt heads they have. I put a wrench on and bolts came out easily. A very well thought out and welcome addition.

Have been looking at the impact driver, but it's not clear on the website how to switch
from lefty-loosy to righty-tighty ... is it just press and turn like regular impact drivers ?

Also, i like the long bits for reaching screws that are in difficult to reach spots
(like some inside the GS1000 engine), looks much easier than with the big diameter impact drivers and their short bits.

I wonder if that impact is loosen only? Like the Vessel Impacta?

I havent had use of the impact yet but removal is the most common use so if it is loosen only i wont be unhappy about it

I have many tips with that style tip. It may be that in my obsession with buying tools from tag sales, I picked up a couple of sets without knowing it. They really do fit into those screw heads.

I'm still kicking myself in the butt for not buying a Violin from 1900 that was flawless, but in pieces. He wanted $500, I said no way, not even half that, and he said throw him a price. I wasn't thinking. That Violin had much potential, but you could spend a month working on it, only to find out it sounds like cr@p. :)
