    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

They make a suede cover for the T305, and I saw a 2 tone cover in their store. I don't remember what it fit, but IIRC it was also suede.
Doesn't hurt to ask, and be sure and quote their eBay store which offers a free cover for those they don't currently carry.

Actually, "Tear Repair" is more like a silicone rubber on steroids. I've seen demos for stuff like "The Last Glue," and the stuff I saw was called "Insta Fix." Works very well, but unlike "Tear Repair" it's not flexible.

Wow. I guess you could start a Poll and find out, but it sounds like the Free Offer does not apply to such an unpopular bike. :-k :confused:
In all honesty, I don't know where you can go from here.
 
Alrighty, I somehow managed to convince them to make one for me!!!

EDIT: holy moley! Canada Post SUCKS! they want almost $50 to send it... I think I will send this to the states with my parents to be shipped...

What is funny is in the last week I have found 4 550L bikes for sell on CL. Now they have all been called "E" but they are actually L. I believe they are just reading the Frame tag which does say E. To say they are unpopular no. But Koolaid also prompted his business deal with I have a group of buyer that would be interested.... which makes it sound popular. Unfortunately I don't think my seat shape other than pan is in original condition or I would say I would take one. Anyway that is my $.02

I just worked a deal with them where they're going to copy both my '83 1100G seat, as well as the '82 GK seat and backrest I have. The G seat is in great overall condition (a few small corner tears repaired) but the GK seat is in sad shape ... I'm psyched to get two new replicas, especially since I'm hoping to hang on to the GK after the G has gone! I'll let you know how it goes with them...

they use a sample i supplied and will make thousands in the futre sales.... i had damn well better get the first cover free!!

I did get one for free actually. I paid $65 for an additional one for another bike that they already had one avail for.
 
For all you GS1000 owners, thanks to this thread, I've located two sources for exact replica seat covers.

This place http://stores.ebay.com/dis-covers offers a replica of the 1978 GS1000C/E seat cover (five rows of large "scales"):

The place K.K. is dealing with offers an exact replacement for the '79-'80 1000E and the '80-'81 1000G with eight rows of smaller "scales":

Please note a couple facts on GS1000 seat covers:

1. The 1000C, 1000E, and 1000G all have the same foam shape, but the bumpers under the pans are different.

2. The 1000G seats didn't have "SUZUKI" stenciled on the back. I'm sure that you can get one from pit replica without the stenciling if you asked. I personally think it's cool, myself.



Kinda disappointed that I can't send him one of my covers and get a free one. Oh well, it's nice knowing I can get one if needed.

The GS1000(C) and GS1000E(C) are of differing heights at the rear of the seat. the grab bar is higher on the "E" seat and the side of the seat cover has more material on the "E" than on the "C". how could the foam be the same?
