A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I saw Kerrys pic in "Go For Ride" and thought it was intersting in that was a smaller and a larger piece of equipment, and picture framed such that they took up the entire background.

Got up this morning to go to my Saturday breakfast (non-riders), and thought, "Oh Today IS saturday, so yesterday was Friday, forgot to take out the trash, and forgot to vote on Pic Of Week".

Vote Tally: Total of 2 votes, both for my Heavy Equipment Circa 1910.
THanks.
I have things going on this morning and afternoon. Will have something for us maybe this evening.

THis game/thread is kinda fun. Some weeks is more like a tag game, other weeks is more like a photo contest, I will try to steer it to more of the later.

Thanks for checking your vote tally early Dave. I think a prompt response by the winner will help increase participation in this thing. I for one didn't have an opportunity to go find a pic for the game this week by the time the new one was posted. Maybe the time frame set in the first post could or should have been adjusted to allow more weekend time to get the themed picture. As it is if the winner is motivated, or able, they need to run out and get the new theme pic shot and uploaded on Saturday. This leaves one day, Sunday, of weekend riding time for working stiffs who don't always get out on weekdays to get a contributing photo. Not sure if any change is in order or just roll with it for what it is, a fun thing.

Happy hunting for a new theme, Dave!

Roger, you do know it doesn't have to be a new picture, correct?

.....
Happy hunting for a new theme, Dave!
I will be hunting thru my photo archive (later today).

And most of my entries are from my photo archive as well (this is not a riding game, this is not a tag game).

Bike At The Water

Bike At The Water

We have had "Water" before.

I am naming the topic this week as "Bike At The Water".
Meaning bike is near the water.
bvHAx2x.jpg

THis happens to be a river, but any other is good; lake, stream, ocean, bayou, ectetera.
In this pic the bike is over the water, but that is not required. I was at the water at this boat ramp, looking for a scene, noticed that there was two docks, and the river was unusally calm .... hum.... (and lost some of my better scences).
THis pic has reflection of bike in the water, but that is not required. What have you done relative to bike at the water?

Thank you for not saying "In the water" as I've seen what you can do with that GK...

Here's my GS on a bridge in Northern NM, near Espa?ola I think. My wife and I were coming back from visiting the Taos Gorge bridge.

This picture was taken while coming back from Charlie G's presentation of the PNW rally, somewhere south of Tillamook Or. My 850 is on the left end.

OK, I can get back in this week. :encouragement:

This was taken at the end of the road, just past a sign declaring it the southernmost point in Louisiana, but it's actually just the southernmost ROAD in Louisiana.

Here is where it was:

Hopefully there is no difficulty determining which is the official entry for the week. :-\\\

Aug 1st, 2016...Two months after my heart surgery, (on medical leave from work).
Stopped for a few pics of my Trophy, at my favorite spot on Illinois' Fox River.
It was just after noon, but it was cloudy enough to mellow the harsh midday sun.

I like that picture Dave. Especially the way the red of your bike and the tree play off each other.
But we need to kill the bright lights in back, and lighten your bike and foreground.

Thanks Bob but a photo shop/editor I am not. Here is another one in better focus but I like the wider landscape view better.

The second pic was easier to work with. A little quick and sloppy, but it came out OK...
I would like to replace the sky, but that could be tricky.

Not sure what you had in mind for the sky but I thought I'd see what a change might look like. I only spent about five minutes on it but an additional twenty or so minutes would solve the gaps in the trees....... { Oops I see I used the wrong picture }
