• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

Register to access the full functionality of the GSResources forum. Until you register and activate your account you will not have full forum access, nor will you be able to post or reply to messages.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Saturday Morning (I checked)

Vote Tally

With 1 each: trevor, grimly, eli, gustov, SteveMurdock.
With 2 each: redman, baatfam
With 4 votes: Rich82

Someone can confirm. But looks like Rich82 has the high honor of naming the next theme.

Wonder if we ever had so many getting a single vote.
Wonder if we ever had 8 of the 15 submissions getting votes.
(maybe indicative of a poorly suited theme for a photo contest)
(but okay for a fun game to entertain us on a motorcycle forum)

I can confirm the tally.....Nice (ouch) one, Rich!

(Dave, I think the results indicate an excellent theme  )

Ok. Now I know what you guys like to see. Blood and guts. This was really unexpected to get even one vote. Never know I guess. Thanks all.

It?s that time of year for the obligatory fall photos. New theme is ?Autumn/Harvest?. That should be sufficiently broad. I?ll try to get a new pic this week but will leave this one here for now.

not my entry, placed as an example:

Tell us more about bicycle on back of motorcycle.

Sure. Like some others here, cycling is also a passion of mine and it's the rare occasion when I can combine both on the same trip. The bike on the back of the RT is my beloved Specialized S-Works Tarmac which has been my primary road bike for the last few years. I put about 5k miles on the Tarmac every year and ride mostly with some great friends who help keep me accountable for fitness. It's a nice carbon frame with a Shimano 11 speed Ultegra Di2 groupset plus some hand built carbon wheels. For those who don't bike, Di2 is Shimano's version of electronic shifting. Instead of cables, the front and rear derailleurs have motors which move the chain up and down the gears when I hit the shift buttons. So, I just bolted on a bike rack and wheel holder to the luggage rack of the RT to carry my bicycle. It's some serious redneck engineering, complete with the ratchet straps to keep it from swaying:cool:

Fall time on my old 88 gsxr...I shown this pic on the forum before....Mt Douglas park not far from my house...it's become a tradition that people bring their pumpkins here after halloween ...the city leaves them there for a week or so and then comes and gets rid of them. It goes around the corner and up the road....so many. :)
