DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If you dont go into OffTopic much, maybe you have not seen this "Pic Of The Week" game/contest.

Is not a tag game, is more of a photo game/contest (can use photos you already have from before).

A topic-subject-theme is mentioned, folks can post a photo, then everyone can vote for a favorite (on Friday). One with most votes gets to state the topic-subject-theme for the next week.

More specifics stated in the first posting.

THis week we have 11 pictures, with 4 days to go untill voting on Friday.
So plenty of time for you to find a picture you may have, or go out to take one.

I/we welcome more submissions and partisipation. Is fun to see more pictures, to see what situations others have found, and how others have made a picture.

I know, I know, Some folks here will say "I go riding, I dont bother wasting time taking pictures. I am not looking for flowers in the ditch, am looking at camber of the pavement."

We definitely got a bunch of good ones this week!

Out of all the forum/picture games I've played over the years, this one is probably my all time favorite.

As it stands at the moment, the voting during Friday has resulted in a tie (Gustov THree Bike Sillouttte, and Roger Burque brite yellow/gold sunset).

So We are awaiting on the next vote, and if that vote breakes the tie, then will have the winner.

Folks that are regulalry involved know to vote on Fridays, but now is Saturday........

Need not submitt an entry to be able to vote. So anybody can vote.

(Dont vote in this present thread.)

We now have the tie breaker vote (Gustovh).

ANd the new topic-subject-theme (Field Repair of problems on the road).

I'm a newcomer to the pic-of-the-week game and I'm not discouraged by the quantity or quality of entries. I just need to be sure to get a pic in before Friday, because my heavy equipment would've won if I hadn't posted it so late :)

Friday is tomorrow! Today is the last day to enter a photo over in the "Pic of the Week" game, over in the Campfire.

Lot of folks playing. Here are the past 26 weeks of themes and winners:

And now it's rain... Right after all the rain stopped up here, lol. Supposed to rain tomorrow...

LOL....I really believed everyone must have at least one picture of their bike parked in the rain...

mines been caught in the rain, just never really thought to take a picture of it, lol...

A pic of mine from a distance in a really heavy downpour at night might make it look almost good. lol

I have one the wife took while riding in the rain near Stearns KY but it's on my other computer at home and I won't be back until this weekend so I'm out

Was going to enter this one last week but you couldn't really tell it was raining, when it was actually just starting to pour. And another where the rain is apparent, I just didn't like the photo as much as the one I entered.

That second one is intersting in that the streaks at first seem ti be effects from the light, but then realise are not radiating from the light, but are paralell, then do envision them being things falling and being raindrops.....

One of my other farm animals pics.
VkE376Q.jpg

but I thought would be too similar to what others might have.
Is a unique sitaution of graseing area right next to the road, and overlooking the valley and the river.
Other shot I have of this scene, I stepped back across the road so have the road in the frame, and capture a sport bike streaking past (and it is streaked in the photo), and the cows stil just graseing away.

^^^^^ That one is better than your submission this week ^^^^^ Although the story behind the other picture is pretty good...

........ ........ ........... ......... ...... if someone can ride into and get pictures of anything within the Louvre, I would be greatly impressed and ready to vote for you immediately

Glen Dorkburger and I did ride to the Louvre. I tried to ride in first, but got stopped by some guys in black uniforms, but then Glen tried it at another door and he did get in, and right up to the Monna Liesa.

Photo from when I stopped there a few weeks ago.
Took picture for no real good reason, other than maybe to use if "mural" were to be a topic-subject-theme of the week.
7uSyW0g.jpg

THe shadows from the building ribs I thought was a bit of a distraction.
And I thought would be better if the main subject could fill more of the frame.

THen when "art work" did become the topic, I went back at a time closer to noon to minimize the shadows of the ribs. But could not think of any better way to pose things, other than to bring the bike more in the foreground.
