A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have a badly stripped Pilot Jet, so i'm ordering 4 new ones.
(they only sell them in 4's anyways)

I'm ordering from Babbitts, and they say everything is OEM.

I just wanted to make sure their jets are better quality than those crappy "rebuild kits" out there....anyone know?

----

The reason im asking this, is because everyone says to avoid the crappy rebuild kits.....and that's the ONLY other place I can find Jets at....but I don't wanna pay $100 for 4 entire kits, when i only need the Pilot Jets.

I know these "kits" have crappy float bowl gaskets, however, what bout the jet quality in these kits?

----

Should I just order my jets seperately from babbitt, or just buy some rebuild kits from another website, and use the Jets and throw away the gaskets?

----

Any comments would be helpful, thanks!

Haha, relax, its a 82 GS650G

I revised what i wrote earlier, and accidentily deleted the GS650 part.
(not that it's exactly needed to answer the question anyways)

Denniskirk.com sells Mikuni jets at a good price. They sell two packs also.

Thanks for all the sources guys!

It doesn't look like im ordering from babbitt's now, I went to confirm order, and they're estimated shipping time was like 2 weeks! And they wanted ****ing $15 to ship 4 Pilot Jets and Plugs!!!!

NOOOWAAYYYY

Hell....i'd rather go to the local suzuki shop down the road, they'll get me what I want in 2 days, no shipping charges.

Im going to check the links you guys posted first though!

If your local dealer is a Parts Unlimited distributor, they also have the OEM Mikuni pilots. I got mine from the dealer for about $ 3 each as I recall with no shipping.

Oh really?

I've ordered bowl gaskets from them, the guy behind the counter didn't know if they were going to be made by Suzuki, or Mikuni.....luckily they were Mikuni's......so I'm hoping everything else they sell is good stuff.

On the contrary, my friend, there are different pilot jets for the VM carbs and the BS carbs.

Just another reason that we ask, plead, even beg you guys, please put a location in your profile and your bike in your sig line.

As Steve mentioned without your bike in your signature line we are unable to know which carbs you have. Here is a link to Parts Unlimited's catalog. Use the PU part number when you order and that way you can be sure to get the Mikuni parts you want. I never let the counter person look up part numbers.

+1..Thats where I buy Mikuni jets. I think they were $20 for all 4 jets. Shipping is free over $100 so I usually wait until I need enough stuff so I can get free shipping.
