A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

After knocking my old lid down on the road I picked up my new helmet which came with a pinlock visor. The inner pinlocks are available in a variety of colours, originally I thought I'd be changing the colour frequently for weather conditions but realizing I never liked grey tinted visors, and the fact I live in a rainforest, I opted for a yellow to improve contrast in grey and flat light conditions.

Well. There is ZERO fogging, locked tight, stop and go traffic, rain and 8C mouth breathing or not.- no fog. none.
So if you ride in the rain, to me it's the actual solution to fog up that magic potions and mists have only promised.

For the record the helmet is a medium Arai Signet Q, which has no breath guard.

I agree...I've been using a clear pinlock visor for the past year and it works better than anything I've tried.:)

Fog City has one that goes on with adhesive and works similarly. So you don't need a pinlock visor to be fog free.

Hey Dogma, do you have a link? That could be a very popular item in these parts. I'll check Sound Rider.. But I couldn't find anything except for links to St John's and San Francisco pubs and restaurants.. :)

The last one I bought is constructed a little differently, but should work the same. I haven't really had a chance to test it yet, but it strikes me as slightly fragile. Cheap enough to try, though.

Any of them will still fog if you stand around yakking on a cool evening with the visor up. Don't do that. You'll have to find a way to clean it dry it before you ride.
