A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anyone know where I can find a piston fo a bianchi 78CC engine from 1962-1966. there only was one. Need a piston in a 48mm+1.

No idea where you'd find an original...The UK has a very active moped scene which I'd assume has forums too.

But just in Honda, 4 strokes - ST70,47.0 std, C9047.0 std then went to 50.0 for the C90E...
2 strokes NF75 48.0 std, MBX80 49.5 std...

There'll be oversizes available for these plus plenty more options. You may have to do some machining but that's par for the course with oddball Italians.

Edit - If you have a sample piston which you can measure for height, ring position, pin size etc, go onto TKRJ site and look at piston kits. They give all the relevant dimensions and it's a good place to find an equivalent piston. Then find a local distributor.....

is it "diamond pistons" out of Michigan maybe?
they will make anything you want.
machined billet..had one in my hand the other day for like a thirty something tractor..

Thanks for the help.
oddball italian stuff is a pretty good description. I've tried some of the UK sites, but no one seems interested in such a degree of restoration... I till take some measurements and make some calls.

just an update
I got a NEW, From Factory piston, in the correct size.
Turns out Bianchi has quite a following in Italy, and using the italian version of google, and what little italian I know, I found a 'motorcycle piston artist' of sorts. All this guy does is pistons, pins, rings and rods.

40$ later, I got piston + rings, pin and rod - shipped from Italy

Sounds like a big score for you. Good job. And you thought that foreign language class was useless.
