A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If it redirects you to imageshack, then youll see a thing on the right that says prev / next.....just use that and you dont need to go back and forth.

I don't have no problem with it, as long as I keep advancing the pic's in the right direction.

Dan had posted he finds it a hassle because the link redirects him and he has to go back and forth..he may not have seen the advancer feature.. I am gonna be ordering the flat 78C seat cover after Xmas.

Yeah..they said I could get a 10 dollar discount be3cause i supplied the pattern...I dont mind the extra 10 bucks cuz its gonna be a great cover as well and worth every penny far as I am concerned.

OK deep pockets, but I don't think you should pay anymore than you have too.

DEEP POCKETS?????? LMAO . Im just not a cheap skate like so many are. Whats the big deal of haggling over a few bucks..it will most likely be the last cover the bike will ever have as long as I own it so why quivel over it is my perspective.

Hey Steve, is the seat cover in your post, from pit replica? How much was the total with shipping, seeing we are near each other? Also, anybody know where I can get a grab bar for it. Mine was gone when I bought it and I'm useing, very badly I might ad, the one from my 80 1000G.

Yes, it's a Pit Replica seat cover, it's been a long time since I got it which was Sept 22, 2010, and I didn't install it until May 05, 2011. I actually didn't buy it, it was an E-bay auction that I won, only bidder, for $62.90 plus $15.00 shipping for a total of $77.90. That seat cover is made in Thailand, takes about 30 days to get.
I did have a GS1000 grab bar up until Oct 25, but I gave it away with some other seat parts, otherwise I'd offer it up to you. They do pop up on E-bay occaisionally.

I used 3M spray adhesive to keep the sides of my Pitt '78 C cover nice and flat. It breaks free from the foam after a little while, but gives it time to form like it should without any wrinkles and stays close to the foam afterward. Chuck, I hope the pattern you sent in straightens out the problem they had with the diamonds on their old "C" cover. Mine was a mix if diamonds, squares and rectangles. Not too noticeable, but not right either. It is still a nice cover, very well made and good material.

Oldvet66...I went a few rounds explaining that the 78 C model used the same seat pattern as the E models did. They have solved the confusion and made the C seat from the same seat i sent in. At one time, Octain had popsted a picture of his original C seat and I forwarded that to them as well for proof of the patterns involved. They are currently listing the 2 seperate seats on Ebay and there are the links also posted in this thread that will take you right to them....http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=186084
