    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

OH... well I dont think they are real chrome... as in metal. I think even the K&N ones use the chrome plated plastic... But ya, you could paint em.

what did you make your fuel line and breather hoses out of? I am liking those.
 
FYI,
my filter ends are "proper" metal, not chromed plastic. Don't know if they would come off so i don't know how they'd stand the heat of an oven for plaggy coating. Maybe best to paint them if you wanted a colour change?

Searched for the K&N versions but i can't find them in this style, maybe they are NOS if anyone has them for sale? I used to use them many moons back but haven't seen new items for ages.

Those fuel and breather lines are normal "fuel type" rubber hose. The breather tubes have a black braided sleeve on them with heatshrink ends.
The fuel lines have stainless braided sleeves on them, with a clear heatshrink over the top and then black heatshrink ends. I used the heatshrink with glue inside to stick everything to the hose underneath but you could use normal unglued heatshrink i guess. All the items are listed on egay and some internet shops. Bribird put me onto this little mod, i love the detail and i've done all my wiring with it, every cable and even my front hose brackets and speedo cable "hook" too!

Can you remember that link to the braid shop Bribird? I forgot :oops:

They make all sorts of colors and sizes. I have dealt with these people of both my bike builds and have even turned my boss onto them for shielded sleeving for some of the conference tables we make when they have integrated comm and power wires in them.

Cool stuff, its just one of those little details thats does so much for cleaning up the look. Although it is a little more time consuming that it would appear..... at least if you are covering everything. Yaddy was making too much progress on his bike, so I figured I would give him a chore that would slow him down a bit.:p

Dang, they're niiiiiice. Work out a tad pricey for shipping to blighty, i'll try the UK suppliers and see what i can find. Cheers for the link Dude, i know they still do them at least, ta.
 
yeah just use the rc-2344 K&N part number and they will be the right ones the ovals to me look a tad huge

they look very cool and fit my bike style perfect. I like the oval ones better tbh, but they wouldn't sit well on my build. I'll keep an eye out for some of those if mine prove too hard to set up properly, cheers for the pic.
