My 83 GS1100e is presently sitting in the barn minus her carbs. They are being cleaned and rebuilt. While I have the airbox off, I am trying to do something with the color. It seems to have only on the outer sides(of course the side you see) 
:evil: , a discoloration. This is the only word to use. It almost looks like it is from exposure to the sun. The bike was originally an Arizona bike, You can see scratches where someone scrap off some with there nails. My question is there anyway to bring back some color(black)
I have tried simply green,armor all,orange cleaner. Do I use steel wool, light sandpaper or just give in and spray paint?
