DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Can anyone help me identify what bike this header fits. I purchased it a couple of years ago when I was cleaning up the 550. The guy I bought it from said it fit a gs550, but it does not. Doesn't fit my 1000 head either. The box it came in says supertrapp, but doesn't have a part number.

gs750 maybe??

any help would be appreciated

I don't know what it fits, either, but my 850 measures about 1.7" on the outer cylinders and the 650 measures about 1.6"

.

thanks Steve. hmm....well maybe it fits 650-850...?? anyone with a 750 care to measure for me?

550 and 650 are practically the same header, just different inside diameters. The spacing is the same.

I'll go measure my gs650 pipes and see what i can find

brveagle, i am still waiting for some pictures of your bike, and a follow up report on how she is running now thats it's been a few weeks.

The diameter of my stock '78 GS750 head pipe is aprox. 1.788." Centre to centre spacing is about 3.862" on the outside pipes. My Supertrapp? header measures about 1.744" dia. for my 1100, and the stock head pipe is 1.775" in diameter. Spacing for the 1100 is about 4.094", centre to centre.

well i just checked center to center measurements on my 550 and to my surprise they are pretty close, but i think pipes are too large to fit into head. so it's probably a 650 header.

I think you have it. The 550 ports are about 1.4" (measured an exhaust gasket donut).

I have a super trap hanging in the garage at the house, for an 1100. Looks like what you have. I'll measure it when I get home and compare your measurements.
