    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

popping with choke on!

First of all my bike runs great But I have a little popping when the choke is wide open and thats the only time it does it.Could this be a lean condition or possibly a bad exhaust gasket?Also if I downshift with high rpms going I will get a small pop but only once though.I get great gas mileage and have not done anything to the carbs but sync them.No intake leaks at all (new everything) and it idles exellent.Any answers or thoughts would be appreciated!
 
Mine also pops with the choke on full but resides when I back it off. My theory is that it is rich with choke and it is popping unburnt fuel. I also pop a little on decal but I blame this on a Kerker 4-1 pipe.

My bike pops a little on full choke as well, but I'm not going to worry about it since once its warmed up it runs good (finally). For me its helped to just give it a little less choke when starting (about 2/3 - 3/4) and back it off right away. I only need choke in this warm weather for about 15 seconds or so.

A little pop on a long decel is probably no big deal as well.

i think most 4 into ones do that. casue of the rich fuel mixture they get. and most of the times popping is left over burn fuel. Both bikes, gs 750 and gs 1100 with four into ones now pop. Another thing I notice they do with those setups on is they need more choke too start up on the first throw off the key.
