A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Rat-ish mod in progress...here is the current state. So far it's just a lot of paint and black duct tape. I'm in Wisconsin so I'll have all winter to work on the big mods. With a little work this should have a lowered back end and a solo seat by spring as well as some nifty knobby tires covering up the chrome on the fenders. After that It's probably gonna be a collection bike of sorts. Lots of keys and baby doll heads, skulls and other bits of dead animals, cargo nets...you know the sort.

Very Cool, Retro 83 GS1100

Very Cool, Retro 83 GS1100

This bike has incorporated alot of the things that I want to do to my 82 GS1100E. Looks like the suspension parts are from a Honda and the engine maybe an 1150 powerplant. This bike looks great!!

This is not my Bike, I just thought it was a great representation of an 83 GS1100 and others might want to see.

Thanks

Just a pic of my 81 650.

Here's a pic of my bike. Pretty much stock, just modified a bit to suit my needs.

Another Pic

Another Pic

Felt like taking a new pic of my bike.
Now I have a new background! (for a day or two at least)

The Tins! The Tins!

The Tins! The Tins!

Yeah, I get that a lot, but the thing is if I wanted to keep the grab rail on the seat, I needed to pull the tins in more or push them way out. So I angled them and tucked them under the rear as much as I could. It keeps the bike a little slimmer, therefore, more aerodynamic, so I went with it.

The only regret I have is not sourcing some larger tins, these ones are great, but they are only big enough to hold my tools and some other miscellaneous stuff. Anything over that needs to go in the pack, man I need a tank bag. Maybe some Olive Drab canvas will get twisted into a tank bag soon.

OK My GS1100ED is finally getting close to finished and looks pretty presentable here.

Thinking like that is what got my brother into sewing. First a laptop case, then some kilts, he's done a tank bag, and he's planning his own riding jacket.
