A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sorry, no build thread. No real plan in the beginning. I cut off all extra metal and got rid of the stock muffler. The bike lost quite a bit of weight in the process. Lowering the rear and front gave it a great feel. The clip-ons finished it off. It is alot of fun ride and is is very fast with the reduced weight. Thanks.

Whew... glad I keep scrolling down, I also was going to post a pic up of that nice cafe after clicking the link.
Good job Scudder

Yep nice work Scudder, very nice. I like the little touches like the hood on the headlight...

Thanks. I just resently installed the red sparking plug caps. It looks pretty cool when riding at night. It is a joy to ride, and I can hardly keep my sons off it. :)

You run out of gas before your butt has a chance to get sore. :p

Yes I did see the mowe tank bugied to the bars.... Theres got to be a better place for that. Maybe make a small tank under the seats would give you some range and still be sleek.

That's what the girl is for;) She had a handful of water bottles full of gasoline hanging in a bag on her shoulder. Over 100 miles like that the day of the event. It was a 2 week build and I just ran out of time for a tank... will get something sorted out for it over winter break.

So, how nice was it before it got destroyed?

Severely neglected but mostly all there and ~15k miles, so wherever that falls on your "nice" meter. Some frame damage from when PO dug in with an angle grinder trying to removing the mounts for a hack from the PPO. Jacked up carbs and wires... basically everything PO had laid his hands on. And it was an L. All of that-->Great candidate for my kind of "anything goes" project. It fell in right at $450 on my nice meter since I was able to get it running well enough to ride it home and the paperwork was square.
